This is an anadromous type of fish. It lives in the basin of the Caspian Sea. The basis of the Caspian Lamprey diet is algae, the remains of decayed animals and plants, dead fish or small animals. It has a long, snake-like body, devoid of scales and covered with mucus. The body color is uniformly gray. Adult fish can reach a length of up to 55 cm and weigh up to 200 grams.
